Many have asked how I came to write a children’s book. I wrote the basic 7 days of creation poem in 2007 mainly to use in the homeschool co-op that I co-founded and led at the time. Years later, I began to dream of embellishing the poem, creating a book to teach young children about the amazing world our God has made. Though publishing a book seemed daunting, and I had no idea where to begin, a sweet friend, who had also written a children’s book, sat down with me in February 2025 and answered my many questions. I then chose an amazing illustrator, a senior student from TAFA, a local homeschool group. For the next few months, I began to typeset the book, learned the ins and outs of publishing, chose a printer, and the rest is history! Creation Daze was released in December 2025, and I am so excited to share it with you and your family!
