You have the awesome opportunity to guide a child’s first glimpse of God as they discover the world around them. Romans 1:20 says that we can know God through His creation. Genesis 1 also establishes the foundation that God is the Sovereign Creator, making it reasonable to trust His plan of Salvation and Redemption through Jesus Christ.
Read Creation Daze together then take a walk, go camping, or plan a trip to the zoo or planetarium to explore all the wonderful things our God has made! You might also teach your child the poem of the 7 creation days. (Even as an adult, I still recite it in my mind to help recount Genesis 1!)
Another incredible observation is that our God is a God of order. He formed creation on days 1-3 then, on days 4-6, He filled, exactly and correspondingly, what He had formed! Days 1/4, 2/5, and 3/6 fit together perfectly! God, and His design, are truly amazing!
